dear adelyn,

yesterday afternoon i was folding laundry and had a sudden suspicion it was going to be your birthday. sure enough, 6 hours later, your mom let us know you were on your way. and shortly before midnight you were here. beautiful, perfect, and healthy.

we are ecstatic.

i can't wait to hold you later today. so many thoughts, prayers and fasts have been devoted to you- we love you so much already. oh, and here's just a heads up on a few things:

-you have the most wonderful mother. learn how to have her heart.
-like your big sister, you are going to have your uncle aaron wrapped around your finger. don't be afraid to use that to it's full advantage!
-your aunt jessie & i are gonna spooooil you. don't you worry.

talking about it all morning

we decided to see this last night and all i can say is : W.O.W.

i think today is the last day it is playing but if you have the time seriously, you will not be disappointed. even if you're not a huge mj fan i promise you will be blown away.

i have lived in this state now for 15 months and have a few questions i need wrapped up:

1) do i need to cover my cookies overnight if i leave them on the counter? will they dry up or are we good?

2) when baking, should i add or take away any minutes based on the altitude? in denver we always have to add...or is it take away...minutes when baking...or is it add flour when baking...shoot...

3) is it pointless for me to put on my blinker when on i-15? people just speed up when i do it.

um...that's it for now...any guidance would be appreciated.

i am loving this home posted yesterday on designsponge, especially the scrabble tile print! whenever i go visit my parents, my mom & i grab a bowl of m&m's, diet cokes, and scrabble every night. can't wait for christmas this year!
